The Yemeni Steelworkers - Documentary

Despite Sheffield being known as the Steel City, the contributions of thousands of Yemeni men who helped build its industry have largely been forgotten. Through the eyes of a young British-Yemeni teenager discovering his family's past, this documentary uncovers a hidden history of migration, sacrifice and resilience. As he meets former steelworkers, community leaders and descendants, he learns of the racism they endured, their fight to establish their own workers' union, and the lasting legacy they left behind. This is not only the story of Sheffield's past, but of a community reclaiming its place within it.
